Thanks for sharing this information. I did a RMR calculation and it makes sense why my body started to "shut down" and I was not losing the weight.

Eat This Not That
I love those books. I started my "eat right" journey using them. They definitely help you to begin thinking about food choices in a smarter way. I also subscribe to the email newsletter and visit their site often. A lot of the times, the articles are just recaps from the books, but it helps bring it back around to me usually right when I need it.

Is anyone using the Calorie Counter for BlackBerry from Fatsecret?
I have it on my BB storm. I LOVE it. It works wonderfully and I love that it syncs with my online account. I am jealous that the android phones let you scan barcodes. Maybe BB will get that feature soon.

high calorie intake on atkins

I'm not doing the Atkins diet, but I will vouch for the 'starvation' explanation. I was having no success losing weight after some months of success. I spoke with my personal trainer and discovered that I was not getting enough calories so my body went into 'survival' mode. It was basically storing fat! This was my motivation in joining fat secret. I needed to log my food intake to make sure I was getting enough calories throughout the day. I really struggle to get in 1500+ calories, but the food logging is helping me and I have begun losing weight again.
