I have come to the conclusion that SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING. I hear people say a lot that I can't be on a diet or I can't do this because I love food. Well, everyone loves food! and it is unrealistic to say that I will or you will never eat another piece of chocolate cake in your life. Come on! I think what we all need to learn is moderation and that it is OK to have salad with our hamburger instead of fries. Or fruit AND fried chicken.

We have to stop accepting those long traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation and marketed to us through media on what to eat and what foods compliment each other (such as a sandwich and chips or hamburger and fries). Who said we have to pair these food items together. I want to challenge all of us to add something new to our meals that we normally wouldn't think of eating (that is healthy). Or just eat what you normally would and ADD a piece of fruit/ veggie. I think the end result overtime will change your attitude about food. You will begin to make different choices that will become a habit for life. Indulge your sweet tooth, just don't forget the water and all those other nutrients you need along the way.
