Another freaking back injury. hurt my back while carrying a 100 lb. box of hardwood flooring. however I still managed to lose 8 lbs. this month. I'm happy with that and whilst cleaning up to install the new flooring I found an old Old Navy jacket I bought and only wore once because it didn't fit. Guess what it now fits with room to spare. It's my new winter coat! WooHoo! As with most of my clothes now they are loose and beginning to hang on me. When I break the 300 mark I'm going shopping. Thus far I've lost 5 to 6 inches in my waist and am down 2 to 3 shirt sizes. So it's way cool. 13 more lbs. and I'll be comfortably in 2X possibly even just an XL. My metabolism must be up because even though I was out of commission for a week I still got my weight down. Soon very soon I will begin lifting again when my back heals. Then the lbs. will melt!

After a non eventful December I've managed to lose 4 pounds since the New Year. I've increased my aerobic work outs to 40-45 minutes sometimes as much as 50 minutes. I'm trying to mix it up and not do same programs on the bike. Also I've intorduced a few glasses of wine a week into my diet. Not sure if the wine or aerobic has done it, but my blood pressure is now near normal 126/74 on average. I don't really diet. I eat better than I used to, i.e. more fruits, grains and veggies and rarely do I eat out or eat red meat. Also my snack choices are much better. I either the do the 100 calorie snack packs or eat a 1/4 cup of raisins or nuts such as sunflower seeds, or whole almonds no salt on either of course.:o) I'm committed to this for life now. So it's not a diet it's a life style! I wish people would quit asking what diet you are doing. Diet to me insinuates short term or a quick fix. Diets don't work! It takes a change of lifestyle and one YOU have to be willing to make! Take care until my next weigh in!
