Devoted Christian! Married 31 years. Two daughters, two grandkids. Gotta have that early morning cup of coffee with my husband, who is also our Associate Pastor. In 2006, I quit work to take care of my dad and father in law and didn't go back. Super busy with church, family and taking care of the family farm.

I like working in the garden, canning/freezing the vegetables we grow, tending our chickens (fresh eggs!), sewing/quilting, and "do it yourself" projects to save money. (I recently re-tiled our kitchen floor). I have always been a self-starter and love the challenge learning new things.

As a family we like camping, swimming, horses, riding 4 wheelers, and just spending time together. We have a teenage daughter, one grandson in college, and a 5 yr old grandson. Keeping up with our teenager and the little firecracker keeps me and my husband young! No time to slow down.

When the Dr. said "Lose it or start on meds for Diabetes", I got busy. In March, I started a VERY INTENSE Cardio Class twice a week. (My instructor is my 5 yr old grandson's Tae Kwon Do instructor). We focus on endurance, muscle toning, and he incorporates TKD kicking, punching, and technique into the class. We all go to class dry and leave soaked to the bone. THIS CLASS IS SO WORTH IT!

I thank God for the will power and determination to get back in shape. I feel great and have dropped 4 sizes. If I can do this, anyone can. You just have to have a made up mind!

DON'T DO CARDIO - Must Read!
While cardio may not work for everyone, I've been taking a 1 hour class twice a week and feel so much better. I don't feel drained, or overly tired. In fact, I have more energy. This on top of the 1300 calorie diet my Dr. recommended. I take vitamins just like I always have. I've been able to lose 30 lbs and I'm in the best shape ever.

To say that cardio works for no one is crazy. Everyone is NOT the same. What works for some may not work for others.
