Freddie's first day of School
Today started out earlier than usual - getting DS up and ready for his first day of JK. I had my little cry last night after everyone was in bed so I didn't freak him out at the bus stop. We got some cute pics - all bright eyes and big smiles. After the bus came DH and I had coffee and MIMs for breakfast. I really wasn't hungry while Freddie was at school - I have been feeling like a want to snack since his return home. Dunno, a sense of relief is telling my "fat brain" that I need to eat? (I don't!)
All went well at his school. He wow'd his EA with his advanced reading skills. She has him working out of a gr 1 primer. She thinks he might need to gr 2 primer for math. I picked him up at 11:30 - we're phasing him into the full day program an hour a week - so I didn't have much time to myself, yet. They showed me his special ed. classroom that he will be attending in the pm. It has a toilet in the middle of the room! Clearly NOT designed with the Asperger's child in mind! Hopefully he won't have any meltdowns about this. He hugged his teachers goodbye. Yay! I'm feeling quite hopeful about Freddie's education. What a difference from preschool!
Freddie wanted smile fries for lunch - which I made and "huffed". That are no carbs in huffing potatoes! Then I had some all-natural hotdogs and broccoli with ranch. So far 10g of carbs. So far dinner is looking like zucchini, green salad, and seared scallops. Snack will be an Atkins bar.
I'm actually quite full right now - TOM and mommy stress are trying to trick me into an extra snack. *lalala* I'm not listening!!!
