I tried Dr Fuhrman's recipe for stir fry. Not a fan. Blech! I'm having his chili (leftovers) for lunch and perhaps fish for dinner? Or maybe I'll make the black bean burritos again. I found myself wanting more food in between meals - a no no on this 6 week plan. Maybe because dinner was so gross? all my snack were acceptable foods - but still.
I just found out that I have TWO Thanksgiving dinners this weekend. The first is will my mother. Which means I'll have to explain why I'm not eating animal products. And this is how the conversation will go -
Mother - "How much have you lost?"
Me - "30 lbs."
Mother - "It doesn't show."
Me - *flings sweet potato at mother's forehead*
Ugh!

First (official) day of Eat To Live!
I'm starting the six week Dr Fuhrman programme today. I'm super excited. I've tried a few of his recipes already and they were pretty tasty. I don't know how I'll feel about it at the end of the 6 weeks, though! I have a HS reunion of sorts coming up on Nov 10th so I'm hoping for big losses. (now that my heart thingie has seemed to correct itself)
I took some pics yesterday of my full body - front back and sides. Dear god, what did I look like when I was 25 lbs heavier! It's so depressing! Where did my pride go???? Well - I'm fixing this and I'll have MUCH better pics in 6 weeks.
Going to make a big batch of vegan chili today. Yum.

Back from the Dr.s
I went to see the GP today about a problem that I have been having with my pulse for the last few weeks. I told him about Atkins and how I was switching to Fuhrman. He seems to think that it's a solid plan but is pretty sure that my irregular heartbeat, dizziness and low blood pressure is being caused by - get this - TOO FAST WEIGHT LOSS! I guess I've been fooled by the Biggest Loser into thinking anything less than a pound a day is unacceptable. I guess all weight loss lowers your blood pressure, even if your blood pressure is already too low! Who would of thunk it! So I'm going to attempt no more that 1% of my total body weight as a loss a week - so this week I'm aiming for 2.8 lbs!
