OK, break out the candles and streamers. It's a Pity Party! So. . .I had been looking forward to a Thanksgiving in Chicago will all four of my children, my eight grandchildren, my great-granddaughter, my brother and wife and their children and family, and. . .a few days ago my husband (who has Lewy body dimentia) emptied his entire day's worth of medications onto the kitchen counter and was helplessly trying to put them back in place. Needless to say, I couldn't conceive of leaving him for 5 days. I cancelled the flight and have been pretty much grieving ever since. (This is my second marriage -- we WILL celebrate with his children and family, who are wonderful. So.) Not doing well on eating responsibility. Right now I don't care so much. Let's get through this week and see how things go.

Happy to come to the end of a particularly stressful week. The major craft fair in which I participated (I really am a weaver!) was quite successful but involved a truly enormous amount of work: doing finishing work on products (scarves and towels), designing, printing, and attaching new hangtags, setting up an attractive table, etc., then getting my studio back in order (not there yet by a long shot). Then. . .my husband, who has Lewy body dementia, is beginning to have trouble with balance. He almost fell when he got back from walking the hallway -- something he does almost every day. A friend here at the retirement center gave him a set of high-quality walking sticks (her husband died recently), but we need to find the correct tips for use on carpet. Sigh. Anyway, tracking and journaling have not been my highest priority. No tracking today (it's Friday!), but back in the saddle tomorrow.
