New plan (#348)! I discovered, truly discovered, that if wine is available, I AM going to have it -- probably (OK definitely) two glasses. And that led to a brilliant revelation: If it's not there I can't eat/drink it! Am I smart or what? So, I will buy one bottle of wine a week, have my two glasses a day, then one, and when it's gone I switch to herb tea with a Lindt Dark Chocolate truffle later. Interesting: I've had that bag of truffles in my cabinet for months. It doesn't call to me. The wine does. Live and learn.

Not a great time in my life -- My motto for now is: "I do what I can when I can." Husband's dementia and the glitches and stress it causes can really get me down. Weight has been up for a while but it IS holding steady. Good enough for now. And I really don't wear a swimsuit except in our retirement center pool, where my body holds up pretty well in comparison. . .considering that the average age here is 84!

I bought a couple of new things this morning: coconut water (delicious!) and chia seeds. I wish they didn't have quite as many calories as they do, but, Wow!, both are nutritional powerhouses. I'll just keep an eye on "progress" and see how it goes.
I think the simple reduction in wine from 2 glasses to 1-½ may be making a bit of a difference. Can I go down to just one? ("Only The Shadow Knows" -- true Seniors may get this reference!!)
