Im 23 yrs old and married to amazing man who is in the Air Force. Been overweight all my life and its time to change that. We will be apart for the next 14 months and I want to do this now. For him yes but of course FOR ME. Being apart honestly makes it easier to lose weight, cant really explain it, time just goes by faster when you have goals to work towards.

Foods you can't live without
I LOVE the All Bran Garlic and Herb Crackers!

* Laughing Cow Cheese
* Feta Cheese
* Wasa Crispbread
* All Bran Strawberry Medley... SO YUMMY. For me way better the Special K w/ Strawberries and has a ton of fiber which the Spec. K lacks.
* Ghirardelli Espresso Escape Dark Chocolate. A must try for dark chocolate lovers!
* Ginger Green Tea (add fresh ginger to water kettle and pour over Green Tea bags with a squirt of Lemon.... GREAT for late nights to keep me from Snacking.
* Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches
* Sliced Cucumbers or Jicama with Lemon juice and a dash of hot sauce
* Kens Light Raspberry Vinaigrette (Baby Spinach, a few Garbanzo beans, some Light Feta cheese, Shredded w/ dressing - Talk about protein right? haha something I threw together with leftovers and was awesome)
* Stevia! ALL NATURAL ZERO calorie Sweetener. $10 at Trader Joes will get you a small jar to last FOREVER haha you use very lil. I think its similar to Splenda except all natural.
* I dont like any of the Crystal Light style stuff. Im TRYING to stay away from artificial stuff, as least where I can help it. So I made lemonade with fresh Lemon juice (or "Real Lemon"Wink Water, and Stevia Powder.
** OR I made the lemonade as above with less Stevia and add in Frozen Strawberries - Great for summer nights =)
* My Vita Mix Blender hahaha Okay so not a food but I still cant live without it. Last night I made a milkshake ( I had a few points to spare haha) I used WW Chai Smoothie mix, 2 TB of Pumpkin Puree, 1 cup non-fay milk, and Ice. SOOOOO YUMMY =)

Exercise clothing! I need help.
Try TJ Maxx if you have one, or Marshalls. They tend to carry more "high end" (Nike, Adidas, Reebok) than Ross at least in my area. For pretty decent prices too. At TJ Max I just got two Nike Sports Bras for only 6.99 each, the org. tags where still on there and it retail price was 19.99 each.

I also got some Adidas workout pants for only 12.99 original price 39.99.

** on a side note I also got a Lucky Brand sweater original price $119.00 .... for only $25.

Good Luck finding deals!

Advice Needed.
This is what works for me. Whether is a proper way of doing it I dont know and dont care, my body seems to like it haha.

Monday: 40 mins Cardio ( slow and steady, thats the advice from my Dietitian, for my heart rate to not go above 145.) + 20 mins of ARM strength training.

Tuesday: 60 Min Cardio + 15 Min ABS

Wednesday: 40 Min Cardio + 20 Min of LEGS

Thursday: 60 Min Cardio + 15 Min of BACK strength training.

Friday: 40 Min Cardio + 20 Min ARMS

Saturday: 40 Min Cardio + 20 Min LEGS

Sunday: Only walk my dog =)usually for an hour

*** In addition to Gym workouts I walk my dog every single day for 30-40 mins. Or else he would plot my murder haha.

AAAAAAH!
Youre not eating enough! only two small meals a day! That makes your body HOLD on to fat because you are starving it. You should be having 3-4 small meals a day and a few snacks.

for Breakfast:
Some eggs scrambled with veggies and some light cheese OR toast.
Oatmeal with fruit
homemade smoothie with some Soy Protein
High Fiber Cereal (All Bran Strawberry Medley is soooo yummy!) with non/low fat milk
Or anything you enjoy just make sure you either had fruit or veggies with it.

Lunch:
*I LOVE soups. I make a big batch and freeze in bags. I make some with two cups in it (whole meal) and some with only one cup. When I have the one cup I will have it with a small salad OR half of a turkey sandwich.
* a nice turkey, chicken or roast beef sandwich Im sure will fill you up
* a salad loaded with veggies and a few almonds and chicken wont weigh you down.

Dinner:
Im a big fan of lean protein and veggies. I can never tire of it because I always change up the flavors and veggies. Ginger Chicken and Broccoli one day... to Curry Fish with peppers. Use spices not sauces and be a lil adventurous.
*Whole grain pasta is a good option if your a carb lover. Just put it on the plate and have a nice salad or my fave is sauteed zucchini.

Snack:
* Light String Cheese
* FRUIT!
* Cucumbers with lemon juice
* Baby Carrots
* Yogurt

** I actually make a Spicy Veggie Soup that is so low in calories I have a cup everyday as a snack. If your not into cooking look into the light pregresso soups.

Just try to remember that calories are not the enemy and neither are good fats. Your body needs them to function. Youre setting yourself up for failure if your not eating.
