Hi I'm Rob, I'm a fairly normal 19 year old, training to become a pit crew member for motorsport events and I also DJ from time to time :) My goal is to pretty much get off the couch and end up with a decent amount of muscle :D

Bulking Up!

Don't go cheap on your protein. You will regret it. I have tried Myofusion and ON 100% gold standard whey, both have incredible taste (milk chocolate flavor), myofusions texture is thicker which I like
Both are top sellers as well, very popular and proven brand names.
So I should look on the back of the containers to make sure?

Bulking Up!
Hey guys, cheers for all the information on the protein side of things. I'm gonna make my way down to Holland and Barretts tomorrow to see what they have in stock

I see that the plan you are wanting to follow wants you to do 5x5. I think this article explains pretty clearly why this is bad:
http://www.musclehack.com/the-best-way-to-gain-muscle-mass/
So basically it's saying do as many reps as you can? I think the aim of the 5x5 I wanted to follow is to use weight that you struggle to lift and slowly ascend in weight. Been following it for a week anyway and I'm starting to see results so I'm not complaining haha

Bulking Up!
Hey Guys
Joined up yesterday in a hope to keep track of exercise / diet. I'm a 6'8 / 9 male and I've always been told to bulk up but always passed it off. I got gifted a 3 month gym membership so im deciding to make the most of it. Hoping to build up my arms and lose some of the fat I gained over the holidays
I'm following this weight lifting guide in order to build muscle:
http://newbie-fitness.blogspot.com/2007/01/stripped-5x5.html
On the "recovery days" I do some cardio which involves running and cycling.
Just one question, should I invest in Whey protein or anything similar to help increase muscle growth? Don't know a great amount about it all
