Howdy. My name is Michael and I'm a 43 year old guy living in St. Paul MN. I have a partner of 13 years, 2 dogs and a cat. I'm an avid reader, love to write, have a great time playing softball and bowling, and enjoy learning new things and having new experiences. I've recently returned to school to get my degree and I work full time at a Bio-medical company in an information management capacity.
As I have gotten older, I have had a hard time keeping my weight down. Given the nature of my work, I spend a large portion of my day sitting at a computer. School has just added to that sedentary lifestyle with classes, hours of homework and projects. I went from 180lbs in my thirties to almost 290lbs by the time I was forty. Though I have come down a bit from that high point, I want to make a more concerted effort to loose weight and introduce healthier habits into my life.
I'm looking forward to meeting others who are looking to make similar changes and hearing how they are making that happen in their lives.
