Since Dave has been away on business I' ve had plenty of early nights and feel well chilled out. Diet not going so well as I had my mother move in with me last Friday so there have been pieces of cake (smidges ...but all still count toward the calories). Had some nourishing casseroles over the weekend, which Dave and Mother enjoyed. Also went for two walks which were about 2 miles each time and which we (Mother and I) enjoyed. Dave sat at home, furring up his arteries even more by eating biscuits. Spag Bol tonight with a little rice for me and plenty for David. Listening to "Golden Gate Groove" which is the sound of Philadelphia from 1970s onwards. Perhaps I should dance around the room to try and shift some pounds! Going downstairs to have poached eggs and two back rasher of bacon and plain toasted wholemeal bread.

Still not made it to town for weigh in so tried scales at home tonight which said 13st 12lbs so will defo go on Saturday to see if it is true. salad tonight with ham and 4 dark ryvitas. Found Warburtons white bread does not fill me up so the birds got the loaf and I got Tesco wholemeal loaf for me! Still feeling positive and fired up. Told a friend about this website which she will check out tonight.

Not very good week weather-wise which has stopped me from going into town to get weighed properly at Boots the Chemist. Plan to do this on Saturday but understand more snow coming tonight for us. Finding it interesting to learn how many calories are in certain foods – today for lunch I could enjoy two rounds of wholemeal bread sandwiched over salt and vinegar crisps (528 calories) but tonight, to remedy the high calories at lunchtime, I can have a small tin of pilchards in tomato sauce (140 cals) and a large garden salad which keeps me under the 1600 daily target.

2 ins snow so decided to walk for newspaper which was harder than I thought as the pavements are more slippery than the road. Not sure if there will be a weight in today - depends on whether husband drives to town and I can cadge a lift! Home scales put me at being under 14st which would be good if they are correct. Nothing to eat today as yet (11.30) but will have toasted banana sandwich shortly to fill me up. Roast beef tonight but only with veg, no yorkshires and no gravy.

Lots of snow today so made warming chicken casserole with skinless thighs, allowing myself 2 thighs. Lots of sprouts prepared too and a small spoonful of mashed spud. Weigh in tomorrow, snow permitting! Somehow I am finding this way to diet by entering all foods eaten each day works well for me as I consider everything I eat now.
Oh dear. Eating dinner at 6pm does not work as at 9pm I' ve just had 2oz cheddar and 7 Tesco oatcakes. This means I am 16% over my allowance so no breakfast tomorrow.
