I haven't been as faithful keeping my journal, but I've been pretty good so far this week. have the weekend to get thru, but I don't intend to mess it up this week. Did lose last week, but less than a pound and I want to do better. It does feel good to see that I have gone down three weeks in a row tho. Been a while since I've accomplished that. I really want to keep it up ... or rather down lol.
I'm missing going to the gym tho. The scheduling just hasn't meshed this week. Paul has had a class on combat rescue and Julia's schedule is never fixed. She was supposed to be home by 3 yesterday ... platoon sgt. time ... but it got changed and she didn't get home til after 5. I think I'll buy a bike.

Yesterday was a total disaster. All the progress flu helped me make I destroyed in one day. Why do I do that? How do I do that? How come it is so easy to gain and so hard to lose? Anyway, today is a new day and I am back on track, no matter what.
Julia comes back to day. She had her official Army detail, escorting Viet Nam era remains to Wyoming. Very official in her dress blues. It is nice to see the importance they put on a mission of this type. Full honors.
So, I am putting together a new salad with brown rice and garbanzos, amother other goodies, and must see what I can do with chicken thighs.
New day...new start.

Had a tumble from the straight and narrow. Cheesecake and chips, a deadly combo. I will make up for it tho. It's not a long fall yet so I can handle it and will.
Have a couple good recipes to try out today that should help. One is an awesome sounding salad. i got a bunch of grape tomatoes in a variety of colors, garbanzo beans and brown rice to go with it. probably do the stuffed peppers too since I'm doing rice anyway. Chicken thighs tomorrow.

Tried two recipes from here tonite ... nutty pork chops and baked pears. Both were excellent. Even my fussy eater loved both of them. Yay!! Am going to try a couple more tomorrow. This is so fun!
