So our church has a 28 day challenge to get closer to God. We were encouraged to choose 1-2 things. I chose eliminating gossip ( both giving and receiving), and a one day fast every Wednesday for the month. I was/am quite conflicted bc I didn't want to sound pious and say it was bc I would use my hunger periods to get closer to God, when the truth was really weight loss. I decided to rely on faith. I asked for strength. It worked. It was tough but it had the intended effect and I am grateful that

Well, I guess I'm eating my words from last week (no pun intended). I'm not worried, I ate very well and exercised like crazy. I think some of the foods were high in sodium, and did not sleep as well as I would like. Plus, menopause is a mother. Happy Friday!

Life baffles me. I had a pretty bad week, unable to exercise as much bc I could not leave due to flooded roads. A couple of food choices could have been better. Twice I had a glass of wine (I usually only drink wine on Fri-Sat). And I lost 2#. Go figure. Someone please remind me of this when I gain after a week after a "perfect" week :)
