I am a burgeoning Personal Chef who has partnered with Faith Fitness Studios to provide culinary services to their Gold Package members. As such, I do pantry evalutations/consults, menu planning, meal preparation and grocery shopping. It is a really rewarding profession that I stumbled into, but now realize is what I am called to do.
Being around food everyday, thinking about food nearly twenty-four hours a day and sampling food have contributed to my being overweight. I tout healthy-conscious cooking, but my body doesn't reflect that philosophy.
I am on my own personal journey to full and complete health-- inside and out. I want to be an expample to women, in general, and African American women, specifically, that food has healing properties but we are allowing it to be our demise.
I welcome the lessons learned along this journey.
