Hello Everyone!

I am really enjoying my FitBit Flex! Since I have worn it, I have burned a minimum of 2,000 calories a day, according to the FitBit.

I am still in pain from last weeks injury, I am going to the chiropractor today and my doctor tomorrow. It has been exactly a week and although I have made progress, it is just too painful for me to continue without a shot of all over body cortisone.

I have a rare and serious disorder that for one, causes the muscles to go into spasms by themselves, with or without activity. Activity can make it happen too. But this was from a day I drove the car too much and my day was too long. I had an appointment about a week away, I did not go in to the doctor yet. This one is having me seeing stars and little cartoon birdies flying around my head! This too, shall pass.

I only walk & speed walk with my FitBit indoors, in case anything happens to me. The walking has not made the muscles worse. As all of you know, if you have an injury and remain sedentary, it gets worse. I would not lift any thing and put weight on it, but 18 minutes on walking inside my house is actually helpful.

Love my diet, love my FitBit! I may have an injury, but I am in very good spirits. I have NEVER in my life dieted for an extended period and have enjoyed it so much. If you have any interest in the method I used to make this diet my own, I have detailed it on my blog:

My sister came over Sunday to help me with the yard- may yard is HUGE and I had some serious weed to get rid of. She woks in a garden like I used to. She is incredible. I could only go so long, and had to rest from the pain. I was watering new plantings and sat down in the grass and just held the hose and watered. She dug out some European Geraniums (Perennials) for me in a bed that was ruined from weeds. When we divided them, I got 41 plants out of them! I also divided some asiatic lilies from that bed, I ended up with 20! I planted the new stuff we divided and watered, she did the hard work. Almost anything is mature in 3 years. I will have my yard back to a paradise then. It all had to be re-done.

Hello My Fat Secret Peeps!

I saw a post on someone contemplating taking Jillian Michaels Diet Pills. So I did a 2 second google search to locate the ingredients, which did not come up at all on the first page- maybe they were deeper. But I found them on a Nutritionalist's web-site, and after reading the articles, I really think this is more "pedaling broken dreams".

Not that they never help some people, they probably do. What i have seen with diet pills is people getting enthused when they get it, staying on the diet, claiming it was the pills and in reality, they just had new hope and did it. On the worst end, is health and heart problems. I chucked out miracle diet pills forever when I chucked out my huge collection of diet books I WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN. Once the dieter loses the enthusiasm and goes off of the diet, they lose interest in the miracle pill as well. They drift off their diets for the same reasons we all do. A pill will NOT make you stay on a diet. Staying on a diet takes, well, practice! And you will have ups and downs- we all do. The name of the site is www.nutritionplugged.com

http://
www.nutritionunplugged.com/2010/02/update-jillian-michaels-faces-third-lawsuit-over-her-fat-burning-pills/

The link will open to the second article of the two, which basically reviews a lawsuit against Jillian. In red copy, you will see the author noted that the first article is on this site. Hit the red type and you will go to her first article. Here you will find the entire ingredient list for each of her pills as well as the nutritionalist's opinion.

I do not want to be judgmental. If you are taking these and it is working with NO health side effects, than power to you! I always maintain, that the plan that works IS the correct plan!

FitBit Review 2

So far, I really like it. I have a FitBit Flex, the wrist band model.
It measures all of my activity and converts it to steps and calories burned. It adjusts for your height, age and weight.

You can also log your food on it to track. The FitBit is set to weight loss goals, from .5 a pound to 2 pounds per week. You pick one. The FitBit calculates your average activity and based on an assumption that you will do that on the day, it tells you how many calories you have left to hit your goal. The FitBit adjusts those levels to your activity if it goes up or down.

I just started logging food on it, as well as here, as I want to understand everything it does.

There are spaces as well to enter other activity besides walking, or if you take your FitBit off for lets say, swimming, you can still enter it.

The FitBit has options to track your Blood Pressure (you have to use your own meter), your pulse and your Glucose levels. All of these will only happen if you measure those items and enter your numbers.

They do have community support and it can be linked to FaceBook. I have not gone into the community as I like it here. Something works, you don't fix it!
