I am 59 and live in southeast Michigan.

I have been with the same employer for over 32 years, where I work Managing a small Opto-Mechanical Department that builds Head Up Displays for military jets.

My idea of a great vacation involves a warm sandy beach (either a lake or the Ocean) with only a few fellow travelers. Large crowds are for the young. :)

I am a sponge who needs to learn everything; Often useless information but still if I am curious about something, I have to find the answer.

Gardening (flowers not veggies) is one of my passions. Living in the north makes me appreciate warm, sunny days and being able to work outside in the yard. I hibernate in the house as much as possible during winter and wonder to myself "Why the Heck do I live here"?

I am widowed. I lost my husband in 2010. Also recently lost my 24 yr old in late September 2017. I have 2 surviving daughters ages 33 and 30. (Oh my, seeing that in print makes me feel old. LOL) I have 5 grand-babies who live relatively close. Likely that's why I still live in Michigan.
