Must keep focused on healthy eating and remind myself that I am making changes for life. Need to work on doing everything more regularly. I can still make a lot of changes. I can still eat better than I have been. Need to learn how to say no to the junk in my life.

I went to Lost Wages (LV, NV) to visit a high school girlfriend that I hadn't seen in 29 years. It was a great visit! We did a lot of walking, talking, I learned how to eat crab legs :-) and we took in a show that had us laughing so hard my face hurt at the end.

biggest problem this week for me is too much of a good thing. I ate really well, healthy well balanced meals, but what I did not monitor was my portion sizes. Portion size is as important as eating right. gained a pound, but not sweating the small stuff, I like to go more by how my clothes fit and I'm down a size there and just went down a size in my unmentionables :-) I will go up and down a pound or two before I drop more to make a difference. This has been the pattern since spring as I attempt to just be healthier in general. Main thing is that I continue to exercise, eat healthy and (note to self) watch those portions.

I'm surprised I dropped a pound this week, happy about it, but surprised. I didn't think I did that well on the diet side of things cause I ate out more than usual and I don't remember all of what I ate. I have not been on the computer to record what I ate so I can't go back and look. I must not have done as badly as I thought. Going out tonight to dinner and a concert so will have to make make a good choices. I will actually be eating out a lot today and tomorrow. Will have to be very careful. We live in a rural area and are heading down to the city which is about 2 hours away so we're staying the night, doing some shopping and will be back tomorrow evening. This could be sabotage!! Must choose wisely . . . and walk as much as possible! Also, I'm taking exercise clothes and will exercise tomorrow morning before we checkout.

This morning I had one of the best workouts in a long time. I only did about 11 min on my Machine, BUT, it was at max tension for me. It felt soooo good! I will leave the tension there and work to slowly increase my time to 30 min. Also walked the dog, used my rebounder for a few min, and had a good breakfast. Also managed to maintain my wt over the last couple of days (usually I put on a few cuz hubby cooks dinner) thanks goes out to hubby for cooking on the healthy side for me this week. Must remember to thank him today cuz that was huge!
