It's been 81 days since I have weighed in. Wow.. I'm up 12 pounds. I have not been following anything... just eating as I please and this weekend I could just feel how fat I was getting. Last week at work we put a scale in the bathroom and I was terrified to get on it. Now I know why... OMG! So I went to the grocery store yesterday and stocked up on all my low carb staples. I had to by some Atkins shakes and bars... because even though I don't lose as much when I eat them, they really are lifesavers when you are in a pinch. My refrigerator is full of cheese and veggies and lean meats. I packed 3 days worth of lunches so I don't have to worry about that for a few days... I feel ready. But since October I have felt ready to go back a half a dozen times. I just really hate the way I feel and look right now... Here is to staying strong!

Oh Disney World you got me! I did okay on my mini vacation... the first day was easy. Eggs and meat for breakfast at Cracker Barrel dinner of steak and veggies at Logan's Roadhouse. Day two I had a protein bar for breakfast and a salad for lunch, but when dinner came around we were still at Disney and I indulged in a chili cheese hot dog and french fries! Day 3 we went to Panera for lunch/breakfast and I had half a sandwich and soup, but when we finally got home we cooked grilled chicken and asparagus which put me right back on track! The family had a lot of fun, I just wish those couple of slip ups didn't happen. My willpower to say no is not where it needs to be.
So new week... I have nothing to distract me from staying on track over the next few weeks. I know that if I can just get through those 2 solid weeks on no cards my cravings will end and I can continue my journey.
Still no scale, I'll get it fixed this weekend and have log my weight next week. I am so scared to see what the number is.

Day 3- My scale is broken. I'm sure it just needs new batteries but I can not weigh myself! It's freaking me out, which is funny because I have been avoiding that thing like the plague for the past few months. Anyways... I'm starting over blind.
On Monday that first day of no carbs was KILLER! I was so tired, I forget how exhausted you are those first few days before the energy kicks in! Its a little better today though... hoping it will pass sooner than later.
I'm off to Disney World with my kids this weekend so that will be the real test of will power! Can I do it? Can I stick with it on a 3 day vacation... we shall see!
