Menopause is kicking my butt (and my waistline) and I am going to do something about it before it gets out of control. 15 pounds my not seem like a lot, but i can see where it could quickly turn into 25 or 50 if i don't get serious. so....i'm all in. healthy eating (i HATE the "d" word), healthy living, getting outside and moving my body. I live in beautiful southern california so i have no excuse not to get out there and get it done. here is to a summer of positive changes in my life!

How do I stop my constant bingeing
so many great comments/ideas have been posted so far that i agree with and that have helped me with my late night binge problem.

first and most beneficial to me is eating regularly throughout the day... like 3 meals and 2-3 small snacks. i never go more than 3 hours without eating something. i pack them all up each morning and take them to work with me so i am not searching for food during the day and then making unwise choices.

at night, after my last meal, if i am getting that late-night-binge-temptation.... i first make myself a big cup of hot tea. usually something dark and spicy like chai and then add a couple drops of honey and milk to it to make it seem more like a treat. i also get onto my pinterest.com account and start looking at my 'fitness inspiration' board. like your mirror, it is infinitely more difficult to binge when you are looking at photos and mottos that inspire you. i don't mean airbrushed, anorexic-looking,unrealistic model photos. i mean photos of healthy, fit bodies that inspire you to do better.

if i REALLY feel i need something after that, i go for a little non-fat plain greek yogurt with berries or honey. totally satisfying and filling and low fat, low carb, and high protein.

hang in there girl, you can do this. SO glad you spoke to your parents about this too. lean on them for support and loving accountability!! i'll be praying for you!
