Well I'm up 1lb. I can't say it's a massive surprise as I was only just down it yesterday and I did have that buffet yesterday. I tried to record what I had (kind of- how do you really know what you're eating when you're out) but it must have come to more. I did only have 2 plate loads, and they give you tiny plates, and I tried to fill a lot of the space with salad, but I guess it just came to more than what I've said.
I also didn't go to the gym; I got home at 4pm and just ran out of steam. The thought of getting changed and getting my bike out to get there, let alone 20 minutes on a treadmill was more than could be handled. Maybe if I'd taken my kit out with me at 11am I could have gone without going home but that just didn't seem appealing. Next time I'll bear in mind that that's the sensible option

Today's gonna be an interesting one, as I'm meeting a friend for pizza hut buffet at lunch. Dangerous I know but I'm not gonna deprive myself of something I enjoy that I only get maybe once every 6 months. I'll just try to have a high salad to pizza/pasta ratio as damage limitation, and of course, a diet soft drink.
Also today I have my fitting for my student nurse uniform- so I'm glad I've shaken off 7lb for that! With any luck it'll be hanging off me by the time I actually get round to wearing it!
Another reason for motivation is that I have worn away yet another pair of jeans in the inner leg area. This is something that always happens eventually with my jeans, but since I've put weight on, I just can't seem to get them to last long at all. So that thought should hopefully encourage me to get to the gym this afternoon!

Today was a pretty tough day for me. As well as being the end of the first week of uni, which has been a lot of hard work and running to lectures, I had a pretty major row with my bf. It's all OK now but it took the whole day to sort out and ended up being quite a draining conversation, so I felt exhausted after. The temptation was, as it usually is, to self destruct food wise. Why do I, and many others I'm sure, think like that? I guess different people have different vices; some people would grab the gin, others maybe a razorblade... Maybe I should be grateful about my weakness? But anyway, it could have been takeaway, it could have been supernoodles, it could have been nothing. But due to my wonderful house mate who said 'let's go cook together' (I dunno if he knew something was up, he didn't say), I had my healthy balanced and nutritious chilli as planned. I did, however, cover it in cheese and creme fraiche, so I guess that was succumbing to my weakness in a subtle way? Maybe, but my defence is that I had to make the food edible (it was hastily made and definitely not a success!)
Anyway, I may have 'splashed out' calorie wise on the dairy, but I didn't go over my calorie intake and I came out feeling satisfied. So there!

Feeling really pleased with myself. I went to the gym yesterday and renewed my membership, so now I've paid upfront for 9 months which means I don't have a choice about going any more! And when I ate 2 biscuits with my coffee yesterday afternoon, I wasn't annoyed that I relented, but proud I only had two! The calorie counter really makes you aware of how awful some foods are

Pretty pleased with that- uni work is keeping me nice and distracted :)
Oh. I did have a square of chocolate covered rice krispie cake and a square of brownie at a meeting but there's no way I could even guess the calorie content of those. They were small but very sugary. It would probably take me over my daily limit but I just don't know how to record it.
They were very nice though!
