Hi everyone!
I am turning 60 this December and looking at retirement in a couple years. :) My doctor said my blood pressure is going up slowly and it's time to drop weight or go on blood pressure meds! Well, I have gotten to this age with no medications and plan on keeping it that way. I actually started at 220 lbs July 25th. I have weight 220 lbs for a couple years. No up or no down. Well he told me to look at the mediterranean diet. It actually looks like eating fruits, veggies, chicken, fish and no red meat?! Hhhmmm? Eating healthy? Well I gave it a try and it worked! I just joined this group so I could keep going down! He told me 10 to 15 lbs drop or medication. I am determined to drop by 15 lbs by September 11th...my next doctors appointment. Well, I am enjoying reading everyones journey and meals!
