Despite having 2 cold beers last night and a few nuts, I still stayed within RDI by having a very light dinner.
Walked about 6km along the beach yesterday followed by a swim of about 800m - 90 minutes' exercise all told.

Considering that I've really been taking a break from "dieting", calorie counting and worrying about food, 58kg isn't too bad all told.
However, I am feeling a lot heavier than my ideal, thicker round the middle and less energetic.
Back to school next week after the long summer break and it's time to pull in the reins again and start recording everything. I need to really cut back on the alcohol; everything else is relatively easy for me.

Several days with no Internet connection so I haven't been checking in or recording food. I'm not doing too badly though, still hovering around 57 kg so that's fine.
I'm off on holiday in a couple of days and won't be online until the second week in August. I'm determined to eat well but sensibly and keep up with walking and swimming, both of which are making a clear difference to muscle tone, if not to my weight.
Then I'm seriously considering starting a training program to build up to 5k running. I already walk 5k (at least) on a daily basis but I've never been good at running so I think that may be an achievable challenge. I've searched on the Internet for a 5k race to register for but the shortest distance I can find is 10k so unless I organise a race that's probably not an option, at least at the moment.

Yay! A bit of focus and a bit of discipline with plenty of exercise and I've dropped a kilo this week. One more week until I go on holiday - can I drop another? I hope so.
