Weighed in, another 4 pounds gone forever! I'm doing my happy dance!
Today will be a struggle since I have to work. There's vending machines galore. I'm just glad I woke up with plenty of time to pack my lunch!

I feel good about today. I did a great job fighting temptation. I went to my granddads house today just to test myself. He always has a cupboard full of sweets and a freezer full of ice cream. I ended up volunteering to mow his grass.
I picked up 3 dogs worth of poo from the back yard, mowed the back yard, mowed the front yard and trimmed the bush in the front yard. He said he was hungry and wanted Arby's, so I went. Granddad wanted an Arby's melt, potato cakes, and a small strawberry shake. I was tempted to get the same, but I kept my cool.
I ended up ordering a kids meal... ME, A KIDS MEAL?? But yes, I did and even though my tummy was telling me I was going to starve, I got the mini turkey and cheese sandwich with applesauce and a juice box. Suprisingly enough, I was satisfied.
For dinner all I had was salad, but I'm really low on calories. I may have a mini bag of curves popcorn later as a snack, or some juice and a 100 calorie pack. Who knows really? I'm just not all that hungry.

Today was another great day, first with my weigh in this morning and incredible loss, then by staying on track with my eating. It's like I finally learned how to make this work.
I'm not starving myself, I am not "dieting", I am making a positive and permanent lifestyle change. My epiphany began by asking myself some questions.
First, Why have I been able to lose weight in the past, but was never able to keep it off? The answer, Because once I was off my diet, I resumed normal, destructive eating patterns.
Second, How can I prevent this from happening again? Answer, By making changes in such small ways that they become habit, that they become permanent.
So do I still have sweets? Yes, but only one of my 100 calorie packs. Hostess has a line of chocolate cream filled mini cupcakes that are to die for. You get three in one pack, so it's much more satisfying than a mini candy bar, or trying to only eat a portion of a full sized baked good... I mean, you get three! I eat them slow, and savor them!
I eat what I want, I even had the munchies for fried food at walmart yesterday. So I had a small cup of popcorn shrimp. 150 calories and really easy to fit into my day.
I don't feel like I'm dieting. Tonight for example, In order to fill me up I ate a plate of 2 cups of frozen mixed veggies before my simple tuna salad. It was a huge amount of food, but only 50 cals. Using the definition of volumetrics as well as not depriving myself of the foods I crave is really helping me and makes me feel like this is a change I can make for life.
