Hello :-)

Okay here is a little bit about me and my fat loss success story. As a single mom, I struggled for years with my weight which left me feeling unattractive with low confidence. I had let myself go because I was so focused on just raising my son that I forgot all about taking care of myself. It was the day I stepped on a scale and realized I was weighing in close to 170lbs, the same weight I was when I went in to deliver my son 13 years earlier, that I knew it was time for a change. Although I had received my wake up call, I ended up struggling for a while because I didn't know HOW to best take the weight off. This lasted for quite some time and I became very frustrated. It wasn't until I became a Team Beachbody Coach and joined a P90X Challenge Group that I finally began to see my results. It really is the Beachbody way that gets people real results ... Fitness + Nutrition + Peer Support = Results. Because it worked so well for me, I now put together challenge groups and offer free personal coaching for other people as a way of paying it forward. There is no greater joy for me than to know I have helped someone get from where they are to where they want to be. I gained a lot of knowledge on what to do and what not to do when it comes to eating properly and knowing which workout programs are best depending on the results wanted. So if you'd like to connect, please send me an inbox or add me as a buddy. Look forward to meeting you :-)

Finding this hard...
geekgirl9561, it's okay, a lot of us have been there! It is totally frustrating I know. There is a lot of information to digest. My suggestion is maybe joining a challenge group that can help guide you along the way. You can get the support of others and get guidance on how to eat and what to eat. I have started one here in FatSecret for INSANITY. It's called the INSANITY 60 DAY TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING. We will be working out to the Insanity DVD program and following along the nutrition guide. Is that a program that you are familiar with? If something like this interests you we'd love to have you in the group. If you need the INSANITY DVD program I can help with that too, Just let me know.

How Do You Stay Motivated?
For me it is finding a reason that is stronger than all the reasons to not do it. That reason can be different things for different people. For me it has always been so that I can lead by example. I couldn't help someone else accomplish something I myself couldn't accomplish, so every time I didn't feel like working out or eating correctly I would think about all the people that I could be placed in a position to help and as if it was magic I was instantly motivated. My reason for doing it was stronger than the reason not to.

I also pay very close attention to how things make me feel. When I eat junk I feel _____, when I eat healthy and clean I feel ____; when I get up and work out I feel _____ or when I let laziness win and don't work out I feel ____. When I decide I don't want to feel a certain way than I empower myself to make the better choice. When you are aware of what a decision is going to yield for you then you will realize that you are either moving closer to or farther away from what you really want.

im 29 over weight...need a buddy to help me stay motivated!!
It could be the timing of your meals. One of the things that you mentioned is that sometimes you don't eat. May I ask, how many meals are you eating a day? Do you know approx. how many calories total a day you are consuming? Knowing this information can help ensure that you are fueling your body properly and not going into starvation mode. In regards to your weight loss goals and exercising I'd recommend HIIT this is a highly effective and quicker way of losing fat. What kind of exercises do you enjoy doing?
