Hi there! I'm a 16-year-old who has been overweight my entire life. I am currently 5'2" (I'm Asian, so I'm not counting on a growth spurt any time soon), and consider myself to be anywhere from twenty to thirty pounds overweight. My family is genetically predisposed to diabetes, and I'm currently on a medication that raises my triglycerides to rather uncomfortable levels, so this weight loss is deeply important on a more than aesthetic level.
I hope to reach 120 pounds in about five months, relying on an average weight loss of two pounds/week. I know, however, that my weight loss is bound to slow at some point, and the entire process will probably take quite a bit longer.
But isn't hope the reason we're all on here in the first place?
