Well I attacked my first day with exercise and high fat low carb! I ate 2047 calories or so according to this app, and I lost a whole lb overnight. But, I feel terrible- super hot all night which is metabolism, and dehydrated. My goal is to drink more water today. It has been determined that I am also premenopausal because I had a partial hysterectomy when I was 35. My hormones are in Free fall! I am told I need to care differently for my body now. I am doing shorter more intense workouts 3x a week and trying to move and walk more. I have a mini goal of Friday the 23rd being down to 215. Then it’s spring break and I will be having some time away with my guy.

If you just started you will probably also experience "Keto flu" and feel like crap for about a week while your body goes through carb/sugar withdrawal and gets used to lower carbs. Headaches, body aches, etc. Hang in there, it will pass.

yes keto flu is a challenge. Dont forget that on keto you NEED more salt. Careful on fluids... you could over hydrate and purge electrolytes. Take a shot of gator aide/pedialyte if you feel particularly awful. Persevere through the flu it is worth it.

All good advice above. When I get back on program and experience the "Atkins flu" or "Keto flu", I give myself about 2-3 days to adjust with no exercise and extra sodium from chicken broth. Allow yourself an adjustment time. Your energy burst or "The Atkins Edge" is coming along about day 3-4.
