2014 My last success with diet and exercise was in 2011 when I was on The New Atkins and took up running/walking, and lost 40 pounds in 6 months. I then had a hysterectomy and a lot of work and home stress and just couldn't get back on it. Fast forward to 2014 after Breast Cancer redirected my path for 18 months, and I am ready to get back on the road to being fit, strong, and healthy as I head into my 50s in a few months. Atkins is a good fit for my body and the foods I like to eat.

April 2017 I met my goal of 160 by my 50th Birthday in 2015.I took Scuba Diving lessons and what a blast that has been! In May of 2016 my husband lost his job and we experienced a very toxic person in our lives who basically set out to destroy our relationship and his career. We both were depressed and I let anxiety lure me back into eating and drinking for comfort and stress management. I gained back about 20 pounds.

January 2018 Did great for most of 2017 until I had to go back to work in August after my summer off.I decided to try Weight Watchers to manage my calorie, sat fat, and sugar intake with Points.I am still doing Low Carb but have incorporated 1 Fruit serving a day and eat much less Cheese and Red Meat.In 4 weeks, I've lost 13 pounds so I'm thinking this is good.My energy levels are good, and after the first week of adjustment, I don't feel hungry. All of the girls in the office are on it, so I have a community of support.I still use Fat Secret in additional to WW to track weight (I like the colored graph) and look up some nutritional information. I finally got on the Fit Bit wagon, and that has motivated me to track my steps, exercise, and active minutes.

Custom Food Details
When I click add item in my food diary and what I am searching doesn't come up, I see the add new food come up at the bottom. So let's say you put Keto Cinnamon Roll in the search box. Nothing will come up, but then you click add new food, enter all of your nutrition info etc. You can then choose to share or keep it private. I've done that with a couple of things.

Cook Book
I have lots that are pending too, but it says "add to food diary" as a choice, and I use them all the time. But they are recipes that I didn't want to share. Are your recipes ones that you have submitted for review? Maybe when you do that, you can't edit it or add it until it gets approved.

I'm trying the Ketogenic diet
When you have your food journal open, look over to the right. Look for My Favorite Meals. You'll see Copy Current Meal. Click on which meal you want to copy, and thne save the meal - give it a title you will recognize like Breakfast 5/23, and then when you go to your saved meals, you can put the whole meal on another date. I do this all the time because I eat a lot of the same things - it saves a lot of time!!!! I put in my Breakfast for the whole week because I always eat the same things.

new to adkins
After you click on the blue plate icon to enter your food, look in the gray bar at the top. The first icon is a settings, or preferences icon. After you click it, scroll to the bottom, You can click the boxes for what nutrition information you want to view (up to 4). I stumbled across this by accident! I wish the recipes that I've entered in my cookbook and other members have submitted had net carbs, but I just subtract the fiber.
