So lost two pounds in two days, really? I am doing a 1000 calorie a day diet! Seems to be working!
204.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 64.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

1000 calories per day sounds dangerous to me..

i started my most recent journey in July with a week at only 1000 calories a day just to get myself under control. I now average about 1200-1300 a day and I give myself a weekly splurge day when i eat closer to 1800-2000. I read a lot of articles saying 1000 or even 1200 calories is too low but depending upon what I eat and how much water I drink, I am extremely satisfied and even full. I also eat whatever I want within those calories so there is lots of variety in my diet. As with everything, you have to do what safely works for you. Listen to your body. It will definitely tell you what it needs.

Thank you kmking40. My doctor actually has me eating this way for certain reasons. I will adjust it as I go along and you're correct, I can mix things up however I want. I do however have to watch my salt and sugar intake along with the calories so I am limited a bit but I do get full and as my stomach shrinks I will be full quicker. I totally am a water drinker already and have been for like 20 years or better so drinking 100oz or more of water a day is nothing? I love water! I often infuse it with lemon and/or berries/fruit or cucumbers and mint.

I've been on a 1200-1500 calorie diet with splurge 1800-2000 days as well. I have lost 30 lbs since July.
