Ok, can I really get to 290. I haven't seen that weight since - Shoot, I can't remember. I bet it is over 20 years. Now I'm sad thinking how long I have been carrying around an extra person.

Perks- would you consider going down to 20 carbs every day? I think you would hit 290 in less than a week. If you are doing 50, you can do 20! Especially if you like bacon and eggs! 😀 Just a thought since you are already doing great on low carb. Weight loss can be slower at 50 carbs than at 20. Considerably. But Cheers! And great job far, you're doing it!

Bluecoaster: Thanks, I think I want to stay at 50 for a week or two then yes I would like to go down further. I just need to do it in stages. I tried all at once and couldn't do it. Now, bacon and eggs and I are old friends so now problem there. But, I always miss not having the toast!

Perks here is a biscuit recipe that doesn't taste low carb. They are dynamite and very easy to make if you bake it mini loaf pans you can slice it sideways and toast it. https://snapguide.com/guides/make-low-carb-biscuits/

Bluecoaster is a real troublemaker, watch out. ;-) I'm finally getting down to 20 and under net carbs, and even coming from eating fairly LC for a while, it's hard! Like, careful what I put in my salad hard! And, what, eggs have carbs?! hard. But BC's inspiration makes it look worth doing. It does seem worth doing slow, though. Especially considering skin recovery, etc., when losing that much.

you can do it

T8U9 Ha! 😉 Nice one! Seriously though, low carb/ Keto is about really capitalizing on what you CAN have. Especially in the beginning- Like whipped cream, mascarpone, fatty andouille sausage. Some pretty glorious stuff. Where I am at - a lot less fat in the diet as my body accesses my body fat for fuel. I asked Perks because eating low carb is easier when you are in ketosis and it's doubtful he is in ketosis eating 50 carbs. Keto done properly is a POTENT appetite curber.

:-) of course you're right; I can barely look at food any more, am just eating based on time and noticing that I'm about to throw someone off a bridge. Which is a lot of energy, given that I'm usually not near a bridge.
