I just wanted to ask if 307 calories was all you are intaking during the entire day? If it is that could be your problem. People have told me that if you do not have an intake of at least 1500 calories each day and especially if running everyday...you arent giving your body enough calories to work on and then your body starts to take the stored fat in your body to feed the calories your lacking. I hope that makes sense and is helpful. If you are taking in the proper amount of calories then yes it could be muscle weight and sometimes we will go up and down within 5lbs. Always try to weigh at the same time and do it in the morning after you potty break before eatting or drinking anything. Have a good night.

Oh one more thing I just noticed if you are on the atkins 1st phase you are supposed to be reducing your carbs to 20carbs daily, which you are way over. Have you read the allowed foods list and the instructions on how to be successful in this phase? You might want to do that.

The rice cracker trek mix and vermicelli have a bunch of carbs, I'm sure. Check the labels, but that could derail you. There is a whole lot more to life than salmon. Scramble some eggs for breakfast. If you don't want that much cholesterol, use just the whites. Throw in some green chili, some cheese, some ham, or whatever else you like that is low carb, but eat up! One of our favorite snacks is a cheese crisp made in the microwave. Pile shredded cheddar cheese on a smooth paper plate. Microwave for 2-3 minutes. Watch carefully and remove when just barely brown. Immediately sop up the grease with a paper towel and enjoy! There are tons of super lowcarb recipes on this website. Oh, and only 2 days is not enough for a test at all. It takes a few days for your body to adjust. Also, you are losing fat and building muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so the scales may not be your best guide for a few days. Be sure to measure your waist regularly, that is a much better indicator of fat loss when the scales don't want to cooperate. Best wishes! Helen

Thanks for the good tips! yes i weighted myself at around 10:30pm so maybe that could be water weight also. my daily calories intake is about 1000-1300. And I'm not really following Atkins very strickly because i thought i might need some carbs to keep my brain running for studying for midterms :p. What I'm doing right now is flowing the Atkins rules in the morning and lunch. for dinner i would eat normally with meal portion restricted and also watching the calories. Does that sound a little bit better?

If you eat Atkins in the morning and not at night, you will absolutely gain weight. Your body won't switch to fat burning mode without getting only 20 allowed carbs per day. And with all the fat you are eating, if you don't switch your body to burning it, then you will be storing it instead.

wow the cheese crisp snak sounds delicious! And going without carbs feels like a hectic thing for me to do right now, im just afraid that I might one days feel very stressful and upset and eat all the carbs back at once. But i will forsure to try to cut all the carbs once i finnish my exams in April! thanks Helen!

Good luck on your exams. I think you should eat low fat for now and switch to Atkins when you can have more time. I don't want to see you gain weight unecessarily.

I think i will give it a try to follow the rules in Atkins. Originaly my intaiton was to find a good meal replacement product to go on, and I chose Atkins meal replacements cuz it's just the right proportion of nutrients! But I realized the Atkins fatsecret group is super supportive I might actualy do well in this diet! Thanks jnni2!
