nativelady's Journal, 06 February 2012

Yay, the two lbs that I gained last week are gone but the physical therapist told me today that I'm not allowed to do my normal workouts until further notice. Apparently the workouts I've been trying to do have been setting my physical therapy and recovery back, which is why I've been in so much pain with my back.

Good to hear that you went back down - I was betting on it. :) Don't fret too much about the workouts. 90% of losing weight is in the foods you eat, so you can totally do it without the workouts. Add them back in when you get the all clear. Good job!

Totally agree... Your Captain knows that cardio exercise is good for you but for those of us with sciatic nerve damage or other impact sensitive conditions its all but a write off for us...So don't sweat it...It boils down to portion control and will power over our eating habits for us...Do that and your health will improve no mater what else we fail at doing exercise wise. I know I get enough exercise wander'in the decks everyday I don't need no stink'in tread mill...or Gym membership.. lol .....But some may not on a daily basis though....so it's left up to a "to each there own" it that department I say. And just as much damage in overdoing it as under for some of us.
