dazedat53's Journal, 30 October 2007

Well here it is. I know I should be happy because at 53 4 is the new 10!!!!!!! It just seems like I worked so hard for 7 days and 4lbs is the number. The first week too. I'm not giving up just voicing my opinion. Week 2 is next I get more protein some grains other than brown rice and oatmeal and I can have 2 6 ounce glasses of wine if I choose. Week 3 is back to week 1 and week 4 adds more protein, 2 diet sodas. Going to try for 4 weeks. I need to be creative since last night I was totally bored and ready to slip. I'm a little leary of adding more grains because I'm afraid I won't lose anything. HELP!!!! Words of encouragement here please!
177.0 lb Lost so far: 4.0 lb.    Still to go: 22.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hang in there! It is tough, but you can do it! Just refocus your mind and know that you are worth it and it can happen! When you want to give up, just remember why you are doing this! Chin up and remember, we are all here for you!

You could try adding the foods you're leary of in very moderate amounts and see what happens? You'll need to do it though b/c you can't stay on detox forever or you may get sick of it and give up entirely. A loss is a loss and it'll all add up in the end!

4 lbs is great - nothing to be frustrated over. Pick of a 4 lb dumb bell and see how heavy it is and remember that's what you just took off of your body - it kinda gives you a different view of it. Congrats on the 4 lbs!!! You will still lose, it maybe just @ a slower pace - instead of 4 lbs it could only be 2 lbs. Remember, you are also adding in extra cardio this week so you are still buring a ton of calories.

Congrats on the 4 lbs! That is a huge deal! If you want to pick it up, add a little more cardio, but nothing you can't continue doing. (meaning, don't go wild working out this week, and do nothing next week because you are 1. too pooped, 2. too sore, 3. sick of working out) Good job again, and good luck on week 2!

Four pounds is right on track for week one. Besides you do not really have a tremendous amount of weight to lose. Just hang in there until you meet your goal. You are doing great.
