Good Morning! Another pound DOWN! I was hoping for two...but I did indulge on a thing or two... Living life along the way and still keeping my eye on the prize!

VERY VERY Stressful day yesterday. My live-in 95 year old mother in law, does have periods of great mental decline which comes out as paranoid and accusatory behavior. So sad and frustrating as we do provide a safe, healthy home environment for her. On the flip side, my father who is 88, lives alone, but has severe mobility issues, therefore I shop and cook for him and clean his apartment and run his errands. His mind is sharp and I take care of his feet but Sometimes his personal hygiene is a little poor. I was CRISP by the time I got done with both of them....but I was able to relax in the evening and I do feel better today. Nothing a little AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR won't cure! :) Have a great day everyone!

You are a saint taking care of both of them. It can be so frustrating (for everyone!) when caretaking roles are reversed. Stay strong and know that they love you even if they don't express it. And most importantly, take care of you!

make sure to think of yourself too. I know it is hard but you have to. Otherwise you get burned out. I took care of my mom, dad, and FIL all at one time and if it hadn't been for the 15 minute squirrel breaks here and there - I would have lost my mind. just make sure you are kind to yourself too!!!
