Saturday ... and having a hard time revving up my engine this morning!! Didn't get out of bed until 8 am ... I have a stiff neck/back/shoulder so it woke me up a lot last night. Just couldn't find a comfortable sleeping position. It is almost 10 here now and I still haven't exercised ... must get to it soon!!

I think my body must be playing catch up with stress ... I am so good at ignoring stress, until it knocks me completely on my rear!! LOL!!!

Today is laundry day ... maybe some housework then if Bob is feeling up to it, out tonight with another couple. Tomorrow we are having a friend up for Sunday dinner ... who has been going through some tough times recovering from a break-up with his lady friend. It will be good to see him ... he's a really nice man. So ... I do want to spruce up the house just a tad ... not that most men pay too much attention to dust here and there but I KNOW it is there and it bugs ME.

My weight continues to hang around in the same range ... which is okay I guess. Maintenance is a good thing, right? Even if eventually you'd like to maintain "lower" it is still a good thing.

Five things I am grateful for today ...

1. knowing that any "fresh start" I might have will be along side the love of my life
2. no alarm clocks this morning!!
3. being able to eat out without FREAKING out!!!
4. making conscious choices about buying food ... what's really in it???
5. for all that I have

Have a good day ... take care!!

your soreness and tireness is obviously a stress consequence. listen to your body, exercise gently and eat well, and most important relax! maybe the best exercise would be yoga, or Pilates. a form of stretching, to help your muscles to relax. I wish you a wonderful weekend, and thanks for your words on my journal!

Reading those labels in the grocery store is so important. I must remember to drop a pair of my off-the-rack spectacles in my purse. At age 53 I have that tough-to-see-without-reading-glasses vision! The other day I bought chewing gum and had to ask the teenaged cashier if what I was buying was "sugarless." It's a bitch getting older but it's a blessing when we consider the alternative. Also - with regard to stress - my husband wonders why I never want to do anything on friday night. I tell him that's my time to de-stress. The stress DOES catch up with us. The remedy is REST. Take care! MUCH LOVE.
