Sandy701's Journal, 15 October 2011

3.1 miles walked via the lake route today, as DH took doggies on their own walk. Beautiful, cool day - wore sweatshirt and shorts and by the time I finished, I wished for just a t-shirt (and shorts!).

Anyway, feeling a bit tired and out-of-sorts, nothing a pound drop on the scale wouldn't fix, probably. If I dwell on it for too long, I just get so frustrated that each and every little pound is taking so very long to drop at this stage. Sheesh!!

But the adult in me (yes, she's in there somewhere...) is a realist, looking critically at my eating patterns and knowing that there are reasons why each pound is taking a bit of extra time to drop. Anyway, today is the 15th, the day I had hoped to be 155 on my moderate loss plan (150 by Halloween on my bold plan). Instead I'm 157. I know all the good points about my weight loss so far, but it sounds like yadda, yadda, yadda to me today.

OK, Buffy....tell me how to record the bitchin' and moanin' on the exercise diary!

Push these thoughts to the side and forge onward!!!!!
157.0 lb Lost so far: 78.0 lb.    Still to go: 12.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Sandy - I hate that for you that you are stuck. One of these days it has just got to let loose! You'll find a way. In the meantime you record that extra activity any way you see fit!

Well, Buffy, I think it's just a combination of those sneaky peanuts, earlier weigh-in times, and a late dinner out. If I were at the point of losing multiple pounds in a week, at least I would have shown SOME kind of loss. But when one is losing 1 pound or less per week, well, these minor changes can sure make it seem like one is stuck. Hope springs eternal for a loss next week and I know you're hoping for one (or two) too!
