Cricket's Journal, 12 September 2007

A nice surprise on the scale this morning, 144 lbs. Looking back over the last two months, I feel really good about the changes in my diet that I've put in place. I really don't miss all the processed bread, and since I've allowed myself a night or day off every now and then, it hasn't been hard to follow the SBD "reasonably well." Having reached my goal, I think I'll continue to eat as I have been and don't foresee adding in more calories, unless I manage to fit regular, aerobic exercise into my routine, which I've had a hard time doing so far. I really appreciate all the kind words of support that people on this site have offered. It's helped!
144.0 lb Lost so far: 16.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hooray!! Great job. It's great that you've settled into the diet, too, and don't seem to miss the foods that you've cut out. I feel the same way --every once in a while I'll deviate from it (like to eat one of Anna's homemade muffins), but it's a deviation rather than an everyday event. I'm glad you got involved here and that it helped you reach your goal. I bet you look and feel great!

Awesome! There are so many wonderful things about your achievement. I think the coolest part is the realization of control over your own body image. Rather than being "doomed to own that last 10 pounds" the experience of following diets like the SB teach us that we are in control with just a few simple changes and the determination to stick with it. Once again-- Congratulations! You are the Captain of your own ship.
