I'm on a lifestyle journey to getting and staying healthy,I have been steady and not much room in my daily food for cheating...if I want French fries that my grandson is eating ,I take one or two and stop.just enough so I don't crave the food that I loved at one time !! I do this maybe once every week but it's someone's food not my food when ordering I get salad ,lean meat ,grilled and have veggies ...when we are home ,I only eat my type of food and I have loss 72 lbs since last Christmas! Good luck on your journey,it's all about change, one day at a time !!

So many people think the weekend is a 'free' time. Perhaps stay with your food plan and choose to have just one "free" meal over the weekend? That may balance out so you do get a gain.

thanks for the comments, I think I'm going to try and work on the one semi-free meal idea. I generally don't think of the weekend as totally free, but that is kind of what have done. so this weekend I think I'll do a bit more meal planning like I do during the week.
