I debated recording my weight today because I lost my head this morning.

For some reason I drank a couple bottles of water before I weighed.

I never do that.

I weigh (after the bathroom and blood pressure) then I drink, eat, etc.....

I guess the number isn't too bad considering, I just wonder what it would have been if I hadn't messed up...

Well, here's to doing right tomorrow.....

Have a wonderful Friday!!!! (TGIF)
217.8 lb Lost so far: 56.2 lb.    Still to go: 6.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 5.6 lb a week

You don't have to weigh in everyday. A lot of people check their weight every morning, then they record it on a specific day. I just check my weight once a week.

I weigh after my moringin run. Get up, have a black coffee, check a couple news sites, discharge, go on my run. I weigh before my run (after my discharge) and then after my run. Amazingly, I am usually a pound and a half to a pound lighter after my run. Recently I have stopped having my first meal after my run and going right into my workout. It seems to be working well and producing noticable results so far.

The reason you should check your weight every day is so that you can recognize certain changes or delays in progress and correlate them to changes in diet/exercise, etc. The more data the better in pretty much any situation.

Laughing as I don't function without coffee. I usually have at least a couple cups before weighing on weekend more.

Correction: After my run I am weighing a HALF pound to a pound less.

@wholefoodnut: Unless you are peeing after your coffee you are probably adding a pound or more to your weight. Two cups (16oz) of liquid = 1 lbs. Most coffee mugs are closer to a cup and a half.

I've noticed that when I weigh myself before bed and I'm less than 2 pounds heavier than my morning weight, I loose in the morning. More than 2 pounds heavier I stay the same or gain. It's about 90% accurate for me. When I weighed tonight, I was 1 pound heavier than the weight I recorded this morning so I'm hoping I'm going to be in that 90% accurate slot in the morning. We'll see... Have a good night everyone....................

I don't worry about it. I figure it's pretty consistent that I have my coffee while I'm on the computer waking up, take my shower, jump on the scale before getting dressed. I'm not scale obsessed, I'm at a good weight for me, 130, in a size 4 jeans and a couple of those are getting loose (down from a size 18). While losing weight as long as I was getting smaller all was good, sometimes my weight wouldn't change for weeks by my size would.
