The heck going on with this blob? I walked, I carried heavy stuff around the yard and blob went up a notch. We have the crazy winds today, so I won’t be doing much outside, but got almost all of the outside Christmas decorations down and put away. Thank goodness.

Woke up to scratching my hands furiously in the middle of the night. That sucks. Eczema possibly incoming. Key is not scratch. I’m pretty good about it during the day, but I’ll probably have to cut all my nails down to a nub and plant each hand in a vat of eucerin while sleeping. Tis the season.

Walked a lot, just short of 17K steps. Not being able to leave the house has its benefits, I guess. Technically, we left the house for walks, but I didn’t run any errands in the car that suck up time. I did reconfigure the spin bike again to see why I hate riding it. Going to give it one more try and then make a final decision.

Life lesson in “read the calories” before eating. Mom brought over some ice cream for my weekend without a car. Magnum stuff. I never buy it. 300 calories per serving, 1000 calories for the tub and I think it was 17g of protein for the whole thing. Put that next to Halo Top and it’s a clear win for HT. I had a tiny spoonful and put it back in the freezer. Something like that requires planning. I’m not disgusted, but it’s like they sat down and tried to figure out how many calories they could jam into a small container. Anyways, we’ll just treat it like i do my daily dose of chocolate, I guess. I’m going to have to talk with her about how hard it is to have ice cream in the house in general, much less a calorie bomb like that. Still a lot of treats in the house, but I’m doing okay moderating them for the most part. Lindt truffles are hard. I’m reasonably sure I could devour an entire bag in a single day. Might have a stomach ache, but I feel up to the challenge. Your girlie is a survivor. 😜

Blob soaring to new heights, muscle down, water down which is interesting as I’m trying to wean myself off cough drops and drinking tons of fruit tea. Great, Lili sat in a puddle outside and just sat down next to me and it’s lovely cold water on a cold day. Lili likes to sit in puddles, BTW. Mud does not deter her either. Figures. A white dog that loves water and mud. Is what it is. 🤷‍♀️

Trying to decide if I want to Instacart groceries or not. I think I can go without until Friday. Would be good to save some coin to fix the car since that was not planned at all.

On the work front, massive reorg. I have a new (temporary) boss, a new boss’s boss (new to company) and a completely new organization I’ve only worked with but not for previously and it’s supposed to be something completely different, but we’ll see if that plays out or not. I know a handful of people, but it’s effectively a new job with the exact same work. So far it’s okay, but it’s also an in your face lesson of don’t burn bridges because a massive organizational shift could put you in the line of fire with folks you may have squared off with in an earlier life. Going to be an interesting year. The “inside thoughts stay inside” sticker is back up on my monitor until i have a good feel about this.

Good luck in this new work situation! It sounds like it could be potentially quite stressful. And stress and blob love each other too much!

LOL, my job has been stress for years. The relationships thing is going to be challenging though. I just put the ice cream down the garbage disposal. The one in the sink, not the one on the front of my face.

Hee-hee dogs are funny that way–good thing they're so lovable. Nothing really made my itchy dry skin bouts until I started using lotions/creams that contained ceramides, which repairs the damaged skin barrier so it can go back to doing its job. Sending you fortitude badges to help you through the new work sitch.

What is "the blob"? I can never figure it out from the numbers you post. 17k steps is really a lot! I've noticed several local businesses, like the hardware store and feed store have a freezer cart near the checkout where you can buy an ice cream sandwich or drumstick or something. I kind of like the idea of just buying a single serving of ice cream. Also like being able to buy just one cookie at Subway.

My husband likes Häagen-Dazs ice cream and it’s usually in the freezer. It’s hard not to partake, especially in the summer. I also eat HT ice cream. Have you ever had the black cherry? I had a a couple of years ago while in Montana. I have looked all over for it here but can’t find it. It’s delicious! I can’t believe how much you walk! I don’t get many steps while doing weightlifting but my watch keeps telling me to get up and move! Lol

Fritzy, the blob is my estimated fat mass as told to me by my scale.

My hat off to you, Katsolo, for that ice cream down the drain! I was going to add “throw the ice cream away” as a suggestion to my first comment but then thought it was too forward: I know how much people love ice cream! I’m a bit weird in that I have absolutely zero desire for ice cream in the wintertime. My entire childhood we didn’t have ice cream at home—it was strictly a summer treat purchased in the street. Now, the Lindt truffle balls is a different story…They are so wickedly delicious…😏

Yes, those Lindt truffles are tempting me too, but I've stuck them at the back of a drawer in the corner of the kitchen to be forgotten about for a while. If I had them in my bedside drawer, which they sometimes make their way to, I remember them all too often, but for some reason I can forget about them for now. That ice-cream sounds seriously dangerous so I take my hat off to you for doing the right thing! Hope the new job situation smooths out soon! 17k steps is fab! Good on ya! The most I can get to in a day is about 10 on the rare occasion these days - it's just a bit too bone-chilling. And I think we have snow forecast for next week - yikes! Hope you have a good week! xxx

I keep them up high in a cabinet over the stove that requires a stepladder. That’s how I get my 10k steps. 😉
