Down a notch, blob is down a tiny bit. Muscle mass and water are up. Experiment continues.

Long walk last night. Ended up being a pretty cool night. First, great night sky as the sky dropped. Ran across a live band playing outside on the main neighborhood street we walk down. Stayed a couple of minutes. Watched the sunset, it was pretty, but the moment dusk took over, a SpaceX rocket took off and i watched and filmed the whole thing against a really clear night sky. Couple of observations: movies always act like rockets take straight off. Nope, they swirl somewhat. Watching the separation from the boosters was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Watching the rocket itself take over and burst through the atmosphere was the second coolest thing I’ve ever seen. If the aliens decide to invade earth, all they have to do is shoot rockets because every single human outside was standing motionless staring and no one was moving or talking.

This was followed by a “go around” by Hawaiian Airlines A350 right over my head at about 900feet. Awesome noise if you like airplane stuff, which i most definitely do.

Finally, concluded the evening by watching the ISS go overhead from my roof right as we arrived home.

TL:DR Great sky w/setting sun, cool band, SpaceX rocket, fun A350 flyover, concluding with the International Space Station. So there you go. A few pics below.

Tonight, we walk again! Done a lot more sitting than normal this week and i have some movement I need to catch up on. I have managed to get my VO2 up another notch this week, so that’s good as well. We added a really tough little hill that still manages to make me breathe hard at the top. All good!

The movies only follows what’s known to be the truth at the time… only now they we are seeing different…. And somehow nasa lost the technology to go to the moon. So Elon has to figure it out himself now 🤔 sus

Envious of your sunsets Kat. Looks like one of those paintings from a group of friends session. 😂😂

Well, shoot, I wrote out a whole reply and lost it. We didn’t lose it, the approach to risk mitigation changed completely, and NASA no longer has unlimited budgets, so they put the requirements out for industry, and they bid for the job within acceptable parameters. What’s really cool, is that a smart watch has more computing power than the original lunar capsules did. Put together a coalition of high tech companies, and you can turn out some really amazing stuff.🤓

My brother-in-law went to work at NASA in 1967 and can tell stories about those early computers. My grandson works there now and there are still amazing stories to be told. With the brainpower at NASA, combined with the advanced technology of today, was given the funding and support that it was given in those early days, our world could be a very different place.

Way cool Kat 👍💫🚀 My younger brother worked on rhe meterolgy team predicting where solid boosters would land for a NASA mission in the 1990 timeframe. He said the blast off was incredible!! Thx for sharing rhe pics!

That’s a great campground. Right on the water. I’ve thought about renting an RV just so we can stay there a couple of days.
