I have been eating out of control. I have been eating food i knew not to eat, and eating a lot of it. Everyday i say, 'Today I'll do better" but i don't.

I'm not sure whats wrong with me. But i had a realization of several points yesterday.

1) I havent been praying and reading my Bible
2) I have focused on what's wrong with my body, instead of how much better it is
3) I have been focusing on my fear that I would regain the weight.

Since i do believe that your thoughts have a lot of power, I need to look at the positive and focus on the fact that I've come this far. I need to focus on where I'm going, not where I'm afraid I'll go.

And I've gotta pray!
144.4 lb Lost so far: 32.6 lb.    Still to go: 4.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hello Karen! In spite of your out-of-control eating, you have not gained any back and even lost a bit! We all "forget ourselves" occasionally. You have acknowledged you have a problem and you have identified probable causes for it. I also believe that writing your thoughts and intentions down is powerful also. You know what to do to restore yourself. Make it a part of your day to read your Bible and spend time in prayer and contemplation. Write down what is right and improving about your body and reread it often. Add to this list. If you live in fear, read 2 Timothy 1:7. Replace "forgetting" yourself with forgiving yourself and moving forward. Remember that your friends here will be praying for you and with you! I'm sending you hugs and best wishes for your success.
