Thanks, I have been trying to slow down the weight loss a bit, in Jan I was loosing about 1.7kg a week, and now I am loosing about 0.5kg a week.

That sounds quite a lot in a week, 0.5 would be easier on the body perhaps. How do you feel?

Oddly, when I was on a constant daily calorie controlled diet a few years ago I felt very larthargic. But now since I am switching eating normally and eating little on alternate days, I feel like I have more energy overall.

I can identify with that. When I broke my ankle originally in 2010, I was nearly 6 months with very little load bearing and exercise and I put a lot of weight on. I wasn't eating properly either, I needed something to get me back on track. A friend persuaded me to go with her to Slimming World. I followed their calorie controlled, grain based, high carb (eat pasta if you are hungry!) diet. I did lose the weight but I felt constantly hungry and tired. Eventually I decided it couldn't be right if it was making me feel like that, so started to read all I could, which led me to the Paleo style of eating. I felt much better within a week, lost the last bit of weight and have followed it every since. It's only this last operation which has knocked me off course a little, again, not mobile and relying on someone else to do the cooking. But I have stayed healthier overall and been in a better place mentally; I firmly believe my style of eating has been instrumental in that.
