Did a carb load yesterday evening and drank extra water and the weight has started to come down again woohoo. My doctor is happy with the weight loss progress but wants to slow down the weight loss rate and I can agree to a point. she wants 5#/month, I'm thinking 10#/month, rather than the 15-20#/month I have done since the beginning of December.

I'm thinking 10#/month is more realistic, because I am just not that hungry, and even when I am I have found I cannot eat a whole lot. 2 small slices of pizza and I am stuffed, 1 1/4# burger and I am pretty full, and when carbing a full single ramen block is too much for me to eat I get to about 3/4 and I have to stop (I don't use the soup-base and use broth instead.)

I still have 55# to go to reach my target weight to maintain before lift surgery, most plastic surgeons want you to maintain for 3 months prior to the surgery for the best outcome. I would like to give the surgery to myself as an early birthday/Christmas present to myself.
240.4 lb Lost so far: 26.0 lb.    Still to go: 37.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

If you are able to loose more than 50# and maintain it, why go through the surgery and the lifetime of changed digestive issues? Please think about it. You are stronger than you think you are. You're doing amazing! Blessings on whatever you choose!

If you're getting your nutrients, why shouldn't lose weight as much as the body can handle. If it wasn't able to handle it It woukdn't. Is there any proof that losing weight "fast" is damaging?

@SLYONE 22 The surgery I'm talking about is removing excess skin, not gastric surgery.

@SolidsJourney The problem I am having is my hematocrit and RBC are both running high and there is a risk of kidney damage.
