Instantcrazy's Journal, 13 January 2015

I worked for this. There was a lot of treating myself like a 2 year old. "No, you won't die if you don't get candy so get off the floor" "Yes I know you want to eat the whole tub of hummus, have some water" The 2 year old in me definitely won a lot more than I care to admit, but the 42 year old me is slowly taking back control from that spoiled child.

There was a guy on a bodybuilding forum yesterday who was whining about having to fast for 16 hours to get labs done. It was so funny. Everyone was saying things like 'you're going to lose all your muscle gains' or 'you're going to die for sure'. You reminded me of that. My 2 year old is also alive and well.

What a great way to describe that inner voice! Thanks, I needed that on my official 2nd day back to it in almost a year. Have a great Tuesday!

LOL. That is a funny take on something very real. You are right. I expect my 3 year old to be satisfied with his very limited intake of sweets, I should expect the same of myself :)

My 2 year old self took me to the donut case for lunch today, but I managed to drag her away without causing a scene. Do bodybuilders eat in their sleep? Now I know what happened to me! I didn't eat when I was sleeping and all my muscles turned to fat. It's my pillow fault I'm overweight.

Ha! Love your post! Yes, I have that 2 year old in me as well. Sometimes, my older self child will chime in "but I can work it off tomorrow!" A really good night's sleep will help me lose a little. Happens too seldom now. :)
