Well first, congrats on the loss. It may not be as much as you think you deserve, but it's still a loss. The things you do this week may not show up for a week or two. Our bodies work in strange ways. You could drop 5 pounds next week. The small loss could also be because your muscles are retaining water from working out hard (sore muscles retain water to help them heal). You may not be eating enough for your current weight and activity level (too low on calories can actually slow a persons metabolism). It is hard to know. The best thing to do is keep eating healthy and exercising. You know it will eventually show up on the scale or with looser clothes (you may have lost 1 pound and inches off your body). Both show weight loss success. Remember weight loss takes time. Some weeks you will work out and show a gain, others you may eat too much and show a loss. Just keep it all in perspective and know that you are doing great things for yourself. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the kinds words Suzi61 - just always seems to be such a struggle. But I do feel better, have a clearer mind and I know I am healthier. Just have to look at the long term I guess!
