I started sprinting again last night, now that my various injuries appear to have gone away. Nothing but fun, though it took more out of me than I'd guessed it would. I guess a week off really can slow you down!

I ordered an Polar FT60 heart rate monitor. I find that my recovery time from peak to rest is pretty quick, and for HIIT (cardio) I want an accurate monitor to know when I should start and stop the intense periods of exercise. I'll post a review here once I've used it a few times. Of course, I'm really curious to see what my heart rate gets to during a sparring session in martial arts. :)

A big drop in weight today, though I'm guessing that has a lot to do with starting cardio again after a week off. We'll see if it holds up. :)

Let me know how the HRM training goes. I've wanted to try one for running, but didn't know if it would feel weird having a chest strap on while I was working out.

I find that after a week of no cardio, that your body almost instantly changes.
