Arrevanthas's Journal, 21 September 2014

I had to step away from everything and re-evaluate everything. I needed to look at my goals and think about what exactly I am shooting for. Yes...losing weight is one but I have found that it goes beyond that now. Now...I want to drop the weight and then get into heavy lifting. Depending on how everything goes financially...I want to get the whole bench and weights and a proper pull up bar and all that lovely stuff so I can achieve my goals. Yeah...I could easily join a gym but then that involves driving and just...ugh.

I am pretty positive about everything and while I know that I had two things that weren't necessarily as healthy...I am proud that I only had half. Normally, I would just eat the whole thing but I actually used restraint. I also made sure to pack myself a lunch when I went to work and it was actually very delicious and filling. And as a snack, I had a protein shake. So...the revamp to my eating is slowly changing for the better and it helps that I FINALLY bought a food scale to make things easier instead of guessing.

Daily Summary
*Oil Pulling: My teeth and gums are still getting better and better each day. Maybe with the change in diet, it will only help this process quicker.

*P90X3: Total Synergistics was still pretty hard but I was able to get through it without as many issues. My wrist is finally starting to feel better so that is a plus. I have decided that once I finish the P90X3 Classic schedule, I am going to go through the Lean program followed by the Doubles. The fact that the workouts are 30 minutes helps a lot!

*Steps Taken (Goal-10000): 5768

*# Cups of Water (Goal-8 cups): 12

Challenges
*Record Everything you Eat: COMPLETE

*Avoid High Calorie treats/snacks: YES AND NO...(Small victories)

way to go girl. you have to realize that that ultimate goal will come in time. i have been on this healthy lifestyle for 2 years now and its an everyday decision still to get up, go to work, go to the gym, eat my prepared meal while all my friends are having fries, or a shake, or some chicken strips. It is worth it though when at the end of the day i have more energy than them, look better than them. haha, i admit though that i started slow. you have to start somewhere and give yourself a little goal that will help you reach your ultilmate goal. for me, my goal right now is to start cutting my body the way it is. (cutting is like cutting off the fat and turning it to muscle). so good luck and i think thats a great decision!

@lisa9mona - Thank you so much for the encouragement! I figure that starting small is the best way to achieve my goals. And while I really want to cut out sweets/sugar, etc...I am waiting till after this upcoming weekend ONLY because it's my sister's wedding! :) If you have any ideas for more prepared meals and such, please pass them my way! :D
