Trying to push back to a state of normal. That doesn't mean life without chaos, I don't have that kind of power, but better thoughts going into my food, sleep and exercise. I don't carry any resentment, I just know what I need in order to be able to function well. I'm good at fighting through, I always have been, but I've also gained a better cognizance of things as I've gotten older. Playing around with adding a few more calories as we add higher activity back in. We'll see. If I don't move, I will fall into a dark place. Can't allow that, so we push forward. Truly why I got Chance so quickly, it doesn't mean I'm not grieving Hogan. I most definitely am. Haven't walked enough in almost four months. Ordered some inserts for the plantars, today, we push forward. Dogs are doing well, mostly. There's been some drama over toys and play style and an attempted hump or two to be rejected. I'm navigating some friendships of people that live online and are upset that I didn't broadcast the news on social media. I'm a little confused by that reaction. If I never have before, why on earth would I start now? Chill.
It's finally not hot today. Overcast, in fact. So thankful. I've actually turned on the AC a few nights the past week and that never happens, but I just can't sleep when it's 85 inside.
Things we need to work on with Chance. Cats, shoes, puppy nips and hand signals. I don't think barking is going to be an issue. This boy is smart. I'm glad he's a different shape and color as Hogan. I don't want to confuse them in my head. They are different personalities. The crate is a little bit of a problem. He's okay in it when I'm around, but he tore his nose up when I went to the store for an hour trying to get out. Ordered this peanut butter thing you attach to the side to distract him and make it a better experience because I need to be able to leave sometimes. He's strong enough to bend the bars though. Once we get past the cat issue and eating furniture, we'll relax with the crate.
Pool had some mosquito larvae in it, I can't remember if I put chlorine in or not the past couple of weeks, but ended up skipping a swim even though I was in my suit and did a shock treatment instead. Should be clear to swim today.
Got insurance paperwork to submit today and then I need to sit down and figure out some life stuff. A little worried about BF, he was super tired last night. Can't tell him what to do, but I can express my concern. Just need to do it gently. Almost forgot, bought some cauliflower, going to try my hand at recreating the cauliflower stir fry mix. The key is going to be the teriyaki ginger sauce. and I just realized I didn't pick up any bell peppers. that can be remedied.
