Things are going okay. I'm not going to say that I'm not crying, just a little less. We did bring home a new pup, but I'm not sure if he's the right fit for my sweet girls, but we're going to give it a shot. Working with a rescue who wants the right dog for each family, so it's okay for an honest assessment. No pics of him for now, wouldn't be fair. My take is that he wants to be an only dog and with a senior as old as Sadie, I have to be careful.

Still doing a poor job on eating normally, just distracted and busy. it's hot, so if I'm not interested in food, I'm not worrying about it. once I swim, I'm pretty sure I'll want food for fuel.

I know when my sister adopted a puppy recently her elderly pomeranian was really jealous. They both want my all my sister's attention. I think Bobby would love a puppy in the house, but I find he is enough for me right now. It's easy to take him on a 4 day vacation, he's good in the car and knows the routine. Another dog would complicate that. But I like having more than 1 pet so Bobby has the cats.

frizty, we're working on establishing the pack order and it's interesting. I am the alpha, Sadie is first in everything, then Shasta, then the new tenant. we'll get there, but ended up putting him on leash and in the crate so he learns his place in our world. and no chasing the white cat. he's smart and he's learning already. the process is a good distraction. they know that if we can't work out the right order, that he'll at least be trained for a better fit. I think we can do it, but it's mostly up to Shasta.
